Plug was an odd sort of comic, very off the wall for it's time and the artwork did look rather like a school project.

Insect football teams, rock bands from Mars,"Gnoodini" the escapologist Gnu and rare Custard Guzzling snakes were all to be found in Plug.

Plug was definitely a strange comic. Using the character from the Bash Street Kids, but here he was depicted as a sporty type. What were they playing at? I must confess that the sporty theme put me right off after issue one! The same must have applied to the rest of the readers as it didn't last long. - Lew Stringer

Hi , very nice site, just thought I'd send in some memories of Plug.

My brother started buying it from its first issue and some of the characters that I remember are as follows:

• Tony Jackpot - a schoolboy golfer
• Doctor Rotcod - a surreal doctor with lots of backwards text
• Antchester United - a insect based football team!
• Violent Elizabeth - spoof of Just Williams Nemesis
