Bananaman was the star of Nutty and went on to have his own TV cartoon.

The Nutty evenutally and sadly merged with The Dandy :-( - Vinny Mainolfi

Nutty comic was my favourite comic and i got every issue except #270. (if anyone can help please let me know at 'arrisarris@msn.com' any reasonable price paid). Nutty lasted for 292 issues and ended on the issue dated sept 14th 1985. the only characters to survive the merge with The Dandy was Bananaman, Peter Pest and The Snobbs and the Slobbs. The Nutty logo last appeared on the Dandy front page in the issue dated june 28th 1986 #2327. Life was never the same again. - P. Harris

Nutty was sort of replaced by Hoot! whic also went on to be merged into the Dandy. Bizarrely, Cuddles, a naughty baby, one of Nutty's characters was in Hoot! When Hoot! merged with the Dandy, Cuddles got together with Dimples, the Dandy's similar character. - Richard Butt

I have a strong memory of the release of Nutty since a new comic on the scene was very exciting to me at age 7. I can remember two free gifts coming with the first issues of the comic: the first was a piece of card with a small chain attached at both ends to a partial drawing of a face - if you moved the chain around it would create a new face (I think). The second was a game called "Will You Won't You" although that's all I can remember. - James
