The Express Weekly first appeared as a newspaper for children in 1954 and converted to a comic at issue 39 on 18th June 1955 under the name Junior Express Weekly.

It then ran for 35 issues before becoming Express weekly on 18th February 1956 and ran for 212 issues before changing it's name to TV Express.

Express was originally launched as Junior Express on 4th September 1954. From issue 286 dated 23red April 1960 it was renamed TV Express and started printing strips based on tv series like Gun Law and Yogi Bear. The final issue was number 376 dated 13th January 1962, and then it merged with TV Comic. - Clive Huggett
