I seem to remember it joined with the Beezer around the time Sparky went to Topper. - Bryan Kerr

Cracker was DC Thompson's 32-page humour comic and the only one at the time, I think. Jest a Minute (readers' jokes) were on page 1, I think. When it merged with The Beezer, its strips were printed in tabloid format on the four inside pages of the broadsheet comic, with instructions on how to make an eight-page comic inside. They did the same with Plug in The Beezer (which continued with some Cracker characters) and Sparky in The Topper. - Richard Butt

I have a copy of the first issue of 'Cracker' published 18/01/75. The characers at that time are 'Young Foo', 'Simple Spyman', 'Big Head Branny - the strong arm janny', 'Spookie Cookie', 'Scrapper', 'Billy The Kid', 'Hector the Collector', 'Skooldaze', 'The Head Hunters' 'Spookum School', 'Joe Soap', 'Curlys Commandos', 'The Nutters', 'Dunder Ed', and 'Iron Hands' - Ian
